Jewellery Box Design

Take one plain wooden box and alter it to create a stunningly decorated jewellery box, whether it is for yourself or as a present I am sure you will be delighted with the end product.

Using silhouette peel offs, fantasy, glitter and even some cats!!!! These quick easy cards are great fun to make.

The theme for this class is Christmas, so any photos from Christmas past or present can be brought in and used in this fun class.

Sizzix & Cuttlebug Machines

In this lesson we will explore the Sizzix and Cuttlebug machines. This day will be packed full of the fantastic ideas and techniques that will help you get the most out of your machine, or if you are thinking of purchasing one, this may help you decide which one you would like.
If you own one of these machines please feel free to bring it along with you.

PC Troubleshooting.
Tuesday 2nd February 2012 – 7.30pm – 10pm Wednesday 22nd February 2012 – 10am – 12.30
We have been asked to put together a course on how to set up templates in your PC ie. If you would like to add an insert paper to your cards or you would like to add a verse. This course will also cover digi stamps! If you have a lap top that you are able to bring with you please could we ask that you do.

Stamping, Punching and Colouring
Saturday 4th February 2012 11am – 3pm
When these techniques are done individually they are lovely but when they are all combined together they are stunning! You can really create some lovely cards. There will be plenty to do on this day of fun!

Making Flowers

Roses, daisies to name just two. Tim Holtz tattered flowers to name another! These flowers are made from simple paper punches and die cuts. Add some ink or spritz and the effects are stunning.

Krafty Kabins Play Day

Sometimes its nice to get away from it all…..with this in mind we have decided to add the following dates to our crafting workshop diary. Each of the days costs £25.00 and runs on a Sunday between 10.30 and 3.30pm. On each of the days that we run a ‘play day’ we will be attempting a project, some of these projects may run over two play days to complete, but this will always be advised when you are booking. Many of you have requested the stamping and colouring days again, so these will also be incorporated within this time. The idea of these days is to take time out and relax!

Tim Holtz Play Day
Saturday 17th March 2012 – 11am – 3pm
A full play day of distressing, altering…if its messy we will be doing it. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron. You may also prefer to bring some gloves!
This workshop is suitable for beginners however, some knowledge of card making is an advantage.

Dates for your diary.
Along with the workshops that we run in house we also offer the following clubs that may be of interest to you:
Craft Club: This club is run on the last Thursday and the second Saturday in the month. You must book to come along as places are limited and places do go quickly. The cost is £5. Each session runs from 10am until 12noon on a Thursday and 1.20pm – 3.30pm on a Saturday. I provide all the tea/coffee and biscuits, equipment that you need to make a card or project etc. All I ask is that if you require major items ie. Embellishments etc. that you purchase them in the shop if you don’t bring them with you. On these days you will also have use of the Big shot pro machine and again, if you would purchase the 12 x 12 card from me, you are more than welcome to cut any of the dies that I have available.
Celebration Weekend: Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th January 2012 will see the Kraft Kabin celebrating its first birthday….. We will have make and takes all weekend (these are bookable), demos from Crafters Companion, Creative Expressions and the lovely Sharon Hopkins. There will be in-house promotions taking place and out BIG craft raffle, buy a ticket for £2.00 and you could win a goodie basket with £150.00 of crafting essentials in it…… Over this weekend we will be open from 9.30am – 5pm each day. Please check our website at www.forgetmenot.uk.net for details and times of make and takes if you would like to book onto any.
Scrapbook Crops: From mid April we will be introducing these to our calendar. If you would like to be kept informed of when these will be available please leave your name, telephone number and email address with me and I will advise you as soon as the dates have been set.
Trips out to craft exhibitions: At various times thoughout the year we get a group of like minded crafters together and hire a mini bus to take us to the likes of Alexandra Palace, Towerlands Park and new for this year Bluewater…..if you would like to come along to any of these please leave your contact details with me. At the moment we are taking booking for:
Bluewater: Creative Stitches & Hobby Crafts – Sunday 5th February 2012, prices will be £16.00 for adults and £15.00 for concessions. This includes your entrance ticket to the exhibition and travel to and from Bluewater. £10.00 deposit is required by Christmas.
